Simon 5 is coming soon!
Simon version 5 is currently in beta testing. It is a massive update, introducing a much-requested feature: syncing the Simon data between multiple Macs, plus a Simon Status service, a Link Checker filter, improved Find filter, iMessage and Speak Error notifiers, a new app icon, and much more.
Important: please note that Simon 5 requires a minimum of macOS 10.12 (Sierra), and will be a paid upgrade from Simon 4 after the beta. Purchasers since September 1, 2020 automatically get a version 5 license (that also works in previous versions).
Re: User Agent, JavaScript, cookies and Java?
It isn't currently possible to change the User Agent, though I could consider adding that in a future release. If you really need it now, you could use curl with a Script service.
You can set cookies in the Edit Test window.
Thanks for fast reply. I
Thanks for fast reply.
I think curl is way too complicated for my skills.
Se it would be really nice to just check box in preferences to do this kind of things.
Thanks
Re: Thanks for fast reply.
I've made a note of the feature idea. Thanks for the suggestion!
Would also be interested in ability to easily change user-agent
We have an application (uPortal) that responds with a page that requires the client to choose whether they prefer WML/HTML when it doesn't recognize the user-agent header. It would be nice if you could specify headers (or at least user-agent) as an easy to set "advanced" setting in Simon.
