Simon 5 is coming soon!

Simon version 5 is currently in beta testing. It is a massive update, introducing a much-requested feature: syncing the Simon data between multiple Macs, plus a Simon Status service, a Link Checker filter, improved Find filter, iMessage and Speak Error notifiers, a new app icon, and much more.

Important: please note that Simon 5 requires a minimum of macOS 10.12 (Sierra), and will be a paid upgrade from Simon 4 after the beta. Purchasers since September 1, 2020 automatically get a version 5 license (that also works in previous versions).

Making Changes to many Tests

I am faced with having to hand edit the Automatic Pause on about 150 Tests.

Is there an easy way to do this? Can I simply hand edit a plist someplace?

Re: Making Changes to many Tests

A change planned in a future version will make this very easy.

For now, there isn't an easy way to do it in Simon. If you are comfortable with editing plists, you can certainly do that. Look in the Tests.simon file within the Simon data folder (i.e. "~/Library/Application Support/Dejal/Simon/Tests.simon"). This file is just a plist; you can edit it with your favorite plist editor. (Of course, make sure you quit Simon first.)

What do you know.....

Worked! Thanks.
