Simon 5 is coming soon!

Simon version 5 is currently in beta testing. It is a massive update, introducing a much-requested feature: syncing the Simon data between multiple Macs, plus a Simon Status service, a Link Checker filter, improved Find filter, iMessage and Speak Error notifiers, a new app icon, and much more.

Important: please note that Simon 5 requires a minimum of macOS 10.12 (Sierra), and will be a paid upgrade from Simon 4 after the beta. Purchasers since September 1, 2020 automatically get a version 5 license (that also works in previous versions).

How too check for RDP client being up

I have a Windows XP PC that I'd like to check on, which has the Remote Desktop service running. I don't see this as a choice in the Service dropdown for Simon. How do I check for RDP service?

thanks,

Mike

Re: How too check for RDP client being up

You can add your own services for whatever you like. I'm not sure what the best way to check on Remote Desktop might be, but perhaps a Port-based service could help — check if the RDP port responds appropriately. Or if there's a terminal command to check on it, a Script-based service would do the trick.

Anyone else already created a service for this?
