Timer not working without micro breaks

I've installed the latest version on a PPC machine running 10.4.11 and an Intel with 10.6.x. I set it to use only Normal breaks. No break reminders popped up. It seems to only work when I enable Micro breaks (with or without Normal breaks enabled). Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions?

Re: Timer not working without micro breaks

I'm not aware of any issues like that. Perhaps you didn't wait long enough for the Normal break to arrive, or left the computer idle long enough to trigger the timer reset?

Re: Timer not working without micro breaks

Nope, I set the Normal break work time to a pretty short time frame so I could test it out, kept poking the mouse or keyboard periodically...nothing changed until I enabled the micro break. (I second what others have suggested for the next version to show how much time is remaining until the next break....)

Weird. One thing you could try would be to enable debug logging; that'll show you what Time Out thinks is going on, and when the break is due or reset.

Enter the following command in Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities):

defaults write com.dejal.timeout DebugScheduler YES

Then you can see the logging in Console (also in the Utilities folder).

I do plan to include a more visible countdown to the next break in version 2.
