It seems like if I start the Mac OS Time Machine application after TimeOut was called, the system
crashes. This happens even if I exit TimeOut before starting the Time Machine.

Interesting... I haven't received any other reports of that. So it might be something specific to your Mac, or perhaps something else is contributing to it. I'm not sure how Time Out could interfere with Time Machine, though.

It could be helpful if you could send crash logs, and/or clarify exactly how it crashes.
