Simon 5 is coming soon!

Simon version 5 is currently in beta testing. It is a massive update, introducing a much-requested feature: syncing the Simon data between multiple Macs, plus a Simon Status service, a Link Checker filter, improved Find filter, iMessage and Speak Error notifiers, a new app icon, and much more.

Important: please note that Simon 5 requires a minimum of macOS 10.12 (Sierra), and will be a paid upgrade from Simon 4 after the beta. Purchasers since September 1, 2020 automatically get a version 5 license (that also works in previous versions).

Check for closing </html> tag in Source code

We had an issue the other day where the website white screened, seemed to be ok because it was passing an HTTP header back successfully but the page was completely blank.

Is their any way to check for a white screen? Or check for a closing tag in the source code?

Re: Check for closing </html> tag in Source code

Sure, it's easy to ensure there's a </html> tag in the page source.

The simplest way is to use a Find Required filter to search for that text; that will result in a failure if it isn't present. You can add that filter to a test that also has change detection; you can have any number of filters in a test.
