I can't see the timers but I'm pretty sure that the timers doesn't reset when I leave the Mac.
(Yes, i have properly set-up the preferences).

Yes, the reset option does work. You could try a shorter interval. Or perhaps you have some third-party tool preventing idle (e.g. Caffeine)?
You can see the timers, and idle reset, via some Terminal magic.
Enter the following command in Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities):
defaults write com.dejal.timeout DebugScheduler YES
