Simon 5 is coming soon!

Simon version 5 is currently in beta testing. It is a massive update, introducing a much-requested feature: syncing the Simon data between multiple Macs, plus a Simon Status service, a Link Checker filter, improved Find filter, iMessage and Speak Error notifiers, a new app icon, and much more.

Important: please note that Simon 5 requires a minimum of macOS 10.12 (Sierra), and will be a paid upgrade from Simon 4 after the beta. Purchasers since September 1, 2020 automatically get a version 5 license (that also works in previous versions).

Simon 3.6 Bug and Suggestion

Bug: script colors changed to black-on-black, changing it in preferences is not saved.

Suggestion: ability to have multiple SSH tests on different ports. Yes, I know you can create new copies of the SSH service, but having a port option that could be set for eachserver would make sense, and would keep things cleaner and not have multiple copies for different nonstandard SSH ports.

Re: Simon 3.6 Bug and Suggestion

Yes, the script preference does seem to be a bug. I'll fix that for 3.6.1.

The Port plugin is oriented around a single port, so it'd be a little difficult to enable customizing the port at the test level. Still, it could be possible; I'll think about that. I'd be interested to know if others would find that useful.
