Two suggestions: easy dismissal option, and customizable text strings

First, I love Time Out. I just donated a little extra to support development of Time Out 2.

I'm sure there are tons of changes coming in 2, but here are two in particular that I'd like to see:

1. Easy dismissal option: Allow skipping or delaying a break by hitting "Esc" -- I could see this option being disabled by default, so that people don't get in the habit of skipping too many breaks while they are adjusting to the app. But in my case, I'd love to be able to hit "Esc" to skip a break, primarily for times when I'm working with someone else and we're both looking at my screen -- I don't want to wait 5 seconds for the "Skip Break" button to appear.

2. Customizable text strings: I'd love to be able to changes the strings "Time Out" "Time out due now..." and "Back to work...". It would also be kind of nice if I could change the color of "Time Out" (although I'll probably just "blank it out" if it becomes customizable).

Thanks!

Michael

Feature Request: micro, normal, and third category of breaks for Pomodoro integration

I use Time Out as a sort of Pomodoro timer (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique). It's a time management technique that uses a timer to break down periods of work into 25-minute intervals called 'Pomodoros' separated by breaks. Time Out is actually quite convenient for this purpose; I simply set my normal breaks to occur every 25 minutes and last 5 minutes. I have my micro breaks run for 10 seconds every 8 minutes for a quick eye break. Anyway, part of the Pomodoro technique is that you take a longer break (15-30 minutes) every four Pomodoros (every 2 hours). It would be great if Time Out would allow setting a third break type ('macro'?), so I wouldn't have to keep track of when I hit the fourth Pomodoro and it was time for a longer break. Time Out would just start the macro break for, say, 20 minutes every 2 hours.

How do I change the schedule of those very short pause breaks?

In Preferences I know I can change the main break schedule. But about every five minutes, I get those little pause breaks. They are annoying and happen too often. In the toolbar, when I click on "break" and "pause break" and am given that list, I try to set it to 30 minutes, but no checkmark appears, and the computer keeps fading every five minutes. HOW DO I FIX THIS?

The Next break time is erroneous.

When Time Out activates it reports -22xxxxxxxxxx minutes to the next normal break time.

I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.8 on a PowerBook G4.

Apologies if this bug has already been reported.

Ivan.
