· release · Weather Events

I'm pleased to announce a major update of Weather Events, my app to record weather conditions on your calendar, available for macOS, iOS, and visionOS!

Version 2.0 includes some big improvements:

Added optional row background colors

Weather list with background colors
  • Added a Row background menu in Settings with None and Weather Conditions options.
  • Weather colors adapt to light and dark appearance, cloud cover, and rain intensity, with gradients for changing conditions.
  • It uses a yellow background for sunny conditions, gray for cloudy, blue for rainy, and white for snowy.
  • Defaults to None and is saved separately on each device.

New Lifetime purchase

  • Added a Lifetime one-time purchase, that permanently unlocks the app, for people who don't like subscriptions.
  • Updated the appearance of the subscription options.
  • Added a Purchase Options button in Settings to enable accessing the various options.

And more

  • Now sets the availability to free for calendars that support that.
  • Added anonymous analytics, with an opt-out option in Settings. Locations and calendar information are never shared.
  • Fixed some minor issues.
