Introducing Simon 5!

Simon version 5 is now available. It is a massive update, introducing a much-requested feature: syncing the Simon data between multiple Macs, plus a Simon Status service, a Link Checker filter, improved Find filter, iMessage and Speak Error notifiers, a new app icon, and much more.

Important: please note that Simon 5 requires a minimum of macOS 10.12 (Sierra), and is a paid upgrade from Simon 4. Purchasers since September 1, 2020 automatically get a version 5 license (that also works in previous versions).

auto pause question and bug

When setting up auto-pause on tests, what is the proper way to pause a test for a whole day? 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 ? or does 00:00:00 to 00:00:00 work? Maybe if 24 is entered as the hour, set it to 23:59:59?

Also there seems to be a small GUI bug here. It's possible to tab between hour, minute, second but not from the "from" input to the "to" input box.

If I set a test to pause from 00:00:00 to 0:07:00, will the test immediately run at 7am?

When duplicating tests, auto pause settings are not duplicated.

Re: auto pause question and bug

Yes, 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 would do. I plan to enhance the pause options in the future -- I'm currently thinking of merging the frequency fields and pause options into unified schedule options.

I know about the tabbing issue, and again will fix that in the future. In the meantime, just click on the desired fields.

The pause interval just says when not to check; the timer will keep on running regardless, so it'll just skip checks that fall within the pause interval. Therefore the next check after a pause interval will likely be a little after 7 AM.
