Introducing Simon 5!

Simon version 5 is now available. It is a massive update, introducing a much-requested feature: syncing the Simon data between multiple Macs, plus a Simon Status service, a Link Checker filter, improved Find filter, iMessage and Speak Error notifiers, a new app icon, and much more.

Important: please note that Simon 5 requires a minimum of macOS 10.12 (Sierra), and is a paid upgrade from Simon 4. Purchasers since September 1, 2020 automatically get a version 5 license (that also works in previous versions).

Read the Simon What's New page for details.

Email Log File

I have tried every combination of email settings and I still do not get any notifications. Is there a log file stored somewhere that I can see what is happening when it tries to send an email?

Thanks

Greg

Re: Email Log File

There isn't a log file as such, but some information is output to the Console (found in /Applications/Utilities).

Have you tried both Automatic and a custom SMTP transport? Sometimes people have an easier time with one or the other.

I do plan to replace the Automatic transport soon, probably in version 3.4. And perhaps add an option to use Apple's Mail app as a helper; I recently found a way to send email via Mail via scripting.
