All freeware products listed here require older Mac OS versions, i.e. pre-OS X. Most will also work in the Classic compatibility environment of Mac OS X, unless an ending version number is specified.

• Dejal's Quoter FKEY: makes quoting others in an e-mail message quick and easy. Includes intelligent nested quote handling and many other useful features, and is customizable. Requirements: Mac OS 7.0 or later. Download.
• SndRecorder: a special pre-release hack that uses the Sound Input Manager to record sounds directly into a suitcase. Requirements: Mac OS 7.0 or later. Download.
• { Wrap } FKEY: a tool for THINK Pascal programmers, that quickly reformats blocks of comments after text has been added or modified. Requirements: Mac OS 6.0 or later. Download.
• SndCollector: collect info about sounds and generate a sound catalogue (the different versions generate different levels of information) - this program has been replaced by SndCataloguer. Requirements: Mac OS 7.0 or later. Download.
• SimCity Bank: lets you adjust the amount of funds available for individual SimCity games. (Become a billionaire instantly! <grin>) It does not support SimCity 2000 games, though. Requirements: Mac OS 7.0 or later. Download.
• SimTower Bank: the same as our SimCity Bank, but for Maxis' SimTower game. Requirements: Mac OS 7.0 or later. Download.
• MacCheckers B&W: a game of checkers (draughts); the original black & white edition. Requirements: Mac OS 6.0 or later. Download.
• MacCheckers Color: a colorized version of MacCheckers, kindly colorized by Gavin Anderson. Requirements: Mac OS 6.0 or later. Download.
• Beep FKEY: simply beeps (good for listening to beep sounds). Requirements: Mac OS 5.0 or later. Download.
• Message FKEY: uses the old MacinTalk driver (if available) to speak a random message in one of several category groups (e.g. Hello, Goodbye, Shut Up, etc). Requirements: Mac OS 5.0 - 6.0.8. Download.
• Say It FKEY: uses the old MacinTalk driver to speak whatever text is in the Clipboard. Requirements: Mac OS 5.0 - 6.0.8. Download.
• Shutdown FKEY: lets you quit the current application (or Finder), restart or shut down. Has an emergency shut down mode. Requirements: Mac OS 5.0 or later. Download.
• Volume Setter FKEY: lets you set the speaker volume from the keyboard (via a dialog). Requirements: Mac OS 5.0 or later. Download.
• 5-6-7 extension: lets you switch between various System versions. Not guaranteed to work on all machines (some people had problems with it, but others report no problems and like it, so we're leaving it available). Requirements: Mac OS 5.0 or later. Download.
• Greetings extension: uses the old MacinTalk driver (if available) to speak a random message based on the time of day and date on startup, e.g. "Merry Christmas", "Good morning", "Good evening", etc. Requirements: Mac OS 5.0 - 6.0.8. Download.

These products are no longer in active development. It is unlikely there will be any future updates.
