100%CPU

The latest version seems to be maximizing 100% of the CPU after several hours! Has anybody else seen this. Do I have to redefine my alerts?

I haven't had any other reports of that, or experienced it myself. You could use Activity Monitor (in /Applications Utilities) to get a Sample of it when it is using lots of CPU, to see what it's doing. Email me the log.
