Introducing Simon 5!

Simon version 5 is now available. It is a massive update, introducing a much-requested feature: syncing the Simon data between multiple Macs, plus a Simon Status service, a Link Checker filter, improved Find filter, iMessage and Speak Error notifiers, a new app icon, and much more.

Important: please note that Simon 5 requires a minimum of macOS 10.12 (Sierra), and is a paid upgrade from Simon 4. Purchasers since September 1, 2020 automatically get a version 5 license (that also works in previous versions).

Read the Simon What's New page for details.

I purchased Simon over a year ago but have still not used as cannot get my head round it.

What I want to achieve is relatively simple. Input a url and take screenshots every time the screen refreshes in real time - total time maximum of about 4 minutes.

I want to watch how market prices change on horse racing betting exchange from the start to finish.

But how is the question.

Any advice much appreciated.

Re: Screenshots

Hi Michael,

Screenshots might not be the most useful way to watch that, though it's certainly possible. What you need is the "Show & Screenshot" notifier script, available on the Simon Extras page. Use the Web (HTTP) service to check your URL, the default Change filter (or some other of your choosing) to detect changes, and this notifier to display the web page in your browser and take a screenshot.

Alternatively, you could use a filter to extract the part of the page you're interested in, and look in the Change log to review the information.
