Free Mac Apps

Time Out
A utility to gently remind you to take a break on a regular basis. It has two kinds of breaks: a "Normal" break, typically for 10 minutes after 50 minutes of work, so you can move about and relax, plus a "Micro" break: a very brief pause of typically 10 seconds every 10 minutes, so you can remember not to tense up too much for long periods. The breaks are fully configurable.

Note: Time Out is currently freeware, so you can download and use it at no cost. I'm currently working on version 2, which will be shareware, and will have lots more options. A free Lite edition is also planned.

Macfilink
An affiliate link cloaker. It creates a web page for you to upload to your own site, so that your customers see a page on your site, with your URL, instead of the affiliate URL - but they still see the merchant's site. They never see your affiliate link, so they can't remove your affiliate ID or change it to their own. It uses WebKit to display the original page and a preview of the cloaked page.

FinderFront
A simple tool to bring all Finder windows to the front when you click anywhere on the Desktop. If the Finder is already active, it does nothing, to avoid blocking selection of any icons on the Desktop.

Call someone by touching their smile, or send them a text message by touching their eyes! SmileDial Lite is a free edition for calling one person; SmileDial Pro is also available, which enables you to swipe through multiple people's faces and shake the phone to show more contact information, e.g. to email them or get a map of their address.
